Meet The Team
Kerem Usenmez, M.Sc., P.Eng.
Kerem has more than 20 years of industry experience, where he managed diamond, RC and geotechnical drilling projects in Turkey, Canada, South America, Middle East and Europe. Kerem is a member of the Board of Directors of the PDAC, is the Chair of the Securities Committee of the PDAC, and the Co-Chair of the Public Affairs Committee of the PDAC.
He has extensive knowledge of drilling techniques, mud preparation and monitoring, core recovery, deep overburden and rotary drilling. His expertise in selecting the optimum drilling equipment and consumables is a result of his management experience around the globe over the years. Kerem previously managed a Canadian drilling company, where he tripled the operations and revenues within 5 years, at a time when the global exploration drilling market was in a downturn. Kerem manages the day to day business aspects and is responsible for the growth of Atom Bits. He is a licensed engineer in the provinces of Manitoba and Ontario, Canada.
Ken Pickering, CET, CIM
Ken has more than 20 years of manufacturing and design engineering experience. He leverages his knowledge and experience from various large and medium manufacturing companies to ensure efficient production of premium quality products utilizing industry leading technology. Ken has worked in drilling and diamond product design, manufacturing, engineering and quality control. He manages the overall production and operations of Atom Bits, including Atom’s quality management system. He supports the field performance of our products. Ken ensures that each Atom product meets the unique requirements of our customers resulting in superior drilling performance and efficiency.
